Santa Cruz de la Palma
The Spanish siblings are reunited!
I woke up at 6 am to catch the first bus to Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The bus ride was shorter than I expected, I got to the airport with plenty of time. In Sevilla the bus to the airport was late and it got stuck in traffic. I got to the airport 15 minutes before the plane left. Seven other American students were on my flight, we all almost missed the plane together. Anyways, I made it the Canary Islands. The plane ride to La Palma was really cool. It was a 50 seat prop plane and there were very few clouds so I could see most of the islands. The airport in Santa Cruz de la Palma is one little runway right on the water. Martha and Reinhold were there to pick me up. She showed me the house (really nice place) and the town. The mom, María Fernanda, was on the phone outside her store so I met her right away too. We went to the beach down the street for a while. The other kids came home from school for lunch a little later. After lunch we went Christmas shopping (Charlie is getting a good one!). After dinner we went out in the town. Martha knows practically all the teenagers in town. We played basketball by the water before going home for the night.
I am posting some pictures from Tenerife right now.

It is great to think of you & Martha together playing basketball, hanging out at the beach and enjoying her family. We all envy the weather! It is so cold here. I am stuck in the house with this sore knee, so it is super to have a diversion. You both look great. Thoughts of you warm my heart. Love, Manor
